My life could only be described as a "Mountain Life", growing up facing the Dachstein Massive in Austria and having skied, hiked and climbed as long as I can remember. Actually I can't remember learning how to ski, just like I don't remember learning how to walk, it was just part of growing up in the mountains.
Whilst finishing my Journeyman carpentry I already acquired some of the mountaineering skills needed to get certifications as a Ski Instructor, UIAGM Mountain Guide and Mountain Rescue Technician.
Coming to Canada was a dream come true and I'm ever so grateful to Mike Wiegele and Hans Gmoser for taking me on at a young age and allowing me to hone my skills as a "Guide & Ski Instructor" under their guidance, and been given career opportunities I never envisioned even in my wildest dreams.
Building, managing lodges, skiing, guiding, flying and enjoying many a wonderful days with our guests has been part of this great mountain life. And the adventure continues, last winter "China", ..who knows whats next, but feel free to call me and let's discuss your crazy ideas...
